Dr. Satish Rao is a surgical oncologist with 25+ years of experience and deep expertise in head, neck, and breast oncology. He completed his surgical oncology training at the prestigious Tata Memorial hospital, Mumbai, followed by an advanced fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York, and specialised training in endoscopic laser surgery for head & neck cancer at the universities of Kiel and Göttingen, Germany.
Beyond technical skill, his practice in grounded in humane approach-he sees patients with their families, reviews all investigations in detail, and explains options before any decision is taken. He coordinates closely with radiation and medical oncologists to deliver complete, continuous care.
He consults and operates across leading Mumbai hospitals, supporting patients from initial diagnosis through surgery, recovery and long-term follow-up.
